Pork casings

The production of casings still requires a lot of manual work, despite the use of sophisticated machines which accelerate and modify the process. De Winter emphasizes on a total serial protection, which is fully supervised in our own management. The first and very important factor is the slaughterhouse. De Winter purchases its pork casings in Belgium. We co-operate with approximately 10 different Belgian slaughterhouses that guarantee the perfect quality of the casings. After the cleaning and salting process in the slaughterhouse, the casings are brought to the plant in Lokeren. From there, they are transported to Moroccan companies where they are selected. In all companies, they highest quality standards are maintained. Since 2005, De Winter has the IFS-label / certificate. For more information, we refer to the following link: INSCA – HOG
